The Get Active Questionnaire for Pregnancy (this replaces the PARmed-X for Pregnancy which is now retired):
This is a self-administered exercise pre-participation screening tool used to identify pregnant individuals who may have contraindications to prenatal exercise and require further screening by a health care provider. The paper describing the process to develop the document is currently in submission but I have a recent KT article about it that I can provide if helpful. This document was developed with the inclusion of international partners, and was designed to be inclusive of guidelines around the world.
CSEP Pre & Postnatal Exercise Specialization
This training module includes a series of training videos, as well as a written manual that is advanced training for Qualified Exercise Professionals. The manual is available here: https://store.csep.ca/products/manual-exercise-during-the-pregnancy-and-the-postpartum-period
SOGC/CSEP 2019 Canadian Guideline for Physical Activity throughout Pregnancy
I was the Chair of the Guideline Consensus Panel and Steering Committee. I’ve attached the guideline and process paper (there are also 12 systematic reviews but they are likely less relevant for this project?). I also developed an infographic about prenatal exercise (available in English, French, Spanish).
SOGC/CSEP 2023 Canadian Guideline for Physical Activity During the Postpartum Period
The process to develop the underlying systematic reviews is currently underway and the process to develop the guideline will take place over the next 1-2 years and anticipated to be released in 2023 (which may be too late for this project).
